Screened Spill Over Weirs

An AB Airgap give the Highest Category of Backflow protection to the mains (Category 5)
The AB Airgap is achieved by fitting Screened Spill over Weirs between the Inlet and overflow heights.
These Weirs comprise of a screen made with 316 stainless steel mesh and sized to be able to cope with the inlet flow on the tank so as to comply with water regulations and compliant to BS EN 13077:2008.
Cowled Weirs are suitable for indoor and outdoor as they also prevent ingress of light into the tank
Framed Weirs are suitable for indoor use only. Cowls for these are available on request to allow for outdoor use.
These Weirs are suitable to create a Cat 5 Backflow Prevention ( Type AB Airgap ), by fitting the weirs into the walls of the tank or fitting a raised ball valve Housing with the weirs in the wall of the Housing onto the lid of the tank.
