2″ Ebco Brass Equilibrium Ball Float Valves (50mm NB) – Flanged NP16 -2 Equilibrium Ball Valve

2 Equilibrium Ball Valve and the rest of The range of EBCO high flow rate Float Valves are simple and robust and can reliably self-compensate for changes in
water supply pressures. One size of seat and one size of ball float will suit any working pressure up to the maximum recommendation of 5bar (72psi) for the full bore float valve. Even at these pressures the full bore seat combined with the hydraulically balanced closing action gives fast, quiet and smooth shut-off.

The Valve has a chamber at the far end and a central hole through the piston into this chamber, this allows the mains water pressure to fill the chamber,  thus allowing the valve to operate with water pressure equal on both sides of the piston, forming an equilibrium between the chamber and the mains pressure.
When the water level in a tank drop, the float moves down in line with the water level, which increases the angle of the valve arm, the arm opens the valve, allowing the water to flow through the valve,  As the water level rises, the float will rise and close the valve, thus controlling the water level within the tank.
